Sign in with a code sent to your email

Not everyone runs their work life through a Google account. From today you can sign in to Pace with your email alone: enter it, we send a six-digit code, type the code, and you're in. No password to invent, no link to hunt for in a crowded inbox.

The code expires after 15 minutes, and only the latest one you're sent will work. Already sign in with Google? The email code works for the same address and lands you in the same workspace. Team invitations accept either method too.

New accounts are asked for a name (and, if you like, a photo) before the first setup step. Google sign-ups already have one, so they skip straight through.

Improved

Improved: edit your profile and get a real avatar

Settings → Profile is now something you can actually change. Edit your name, upload a photo, or remove one. If you signed in with Google, its photo stays until you replace it, and anything you set yourself stays put the next time you sign in.

No photo? You get a generated avatar instead: a coloured circle with the first letter of your email. The header, the team list, change history, and notebook mentions all show the same one now.

The whole General tab has been tidied up around it. Profile and Workspace details sit together on the left, billing on the right, and nothing is stretched across the page the way it used to be. Type a new name and it saves on its own, a small "Saved" note confirms it, and there's no Save button to remember to press. Hover your avatar for a pencil to change it, or an × to remove it. Your email is shown but locked. If you ever need it changed, a note points you to [email protected].

Improved

Improved: a clearer sign-up page

The sign-up page had gotten a little cluttered, so we cleaned it up. It now spells out the plan you'll start on and its monthly price once the trial ends, instead of a vague placeholder. "Cancel anytime" appears once instead of three times, and the disabled Microsoft button is gone.

The card itself is asked for on the trial step, alongside the reminder we already send: an email three days before your trial ends, so nothing charges as a surprise.

Improved

Improved: sign-up and login pages redesigned

Sign-up and login got a proper redesign, not just a tidy-up.

The sign-up side now leads with what Pace actually does: "Stop managing ads in spreadsheets," plus a one-line summary and three reasons to bother: 14 days free, unlimited users, no lock-in. Underneath sits a real review from a verified G2 customer, Ella R., with her 5.0 rating linking straight to G2, and the logos of the platforms Pace connects to. Rather see it in action first? There's a link to a 6-minute demo, or a way to talk to us directly.

Login now shows "New in Pace": the three latest things we've shipped, pulled live from this changelog, with a link through to see everything.

Both forms got smaller fixes too. The headline sits higher up so you see it without scrolling, and the terms and privacy links moved from the top of the form to under the buttons.

Budget rollover is here

A month rarely lands exactly on target. Until now, whatever you didn't spend went away on the 1st, and whatever you went over by was never recovered. Budget rollover changes that.

Switch it on for an account and Pace works out the gap between last month's target and what the account actually spent, then applies that gap to this month. Under by $400 and this month's target is $400 higher. Over by $400 and it's $400 lower. It carries on month after month, so a quiet August followed by a quiet September builds into a bigger October instead of being lost twice.

The sum runs once, in the early hours of the 1st, in the account's own timezone. Campaign groups are included. Each group's own gap is carried on the group, so a group that came in light gets its share back rather than the money drifting to whatever else is running.

Open Budget settings on any account and you'll see three lines: the base target you set, the amount carried in, and the effective target for the month. If a month was unusual and you'd rather start clean, Reset carry zeroes it. Every surface that shows a target picks up the adjusted figure, including client reports, the weekly email and Dot. Rows carrying an adjustment show a small marker, and hovering it gives you the base and the carried amount.

If an account overspent by more than its whole next target, the effective target lands at zero. Pace treats that as a hard stop and pauses the account's campaigns for the month, then starts them again as soon as the target goes positive, whether that's the next month's carry, a base change, or Reset carry.

Available on Pro plans and above. Off by default, per account.
