Connect Pace to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini and ask about your campaigns, budgets, and pacing in plain English, right from the AI assistant you already use.
The connection is read-only. Your assistant can look at your pacing data, but it can never change a budget, pause a campaign, or see your ad platform sign-in details. It's included with API Access on the One and Enterprise plans, and every control for it lives at Settings → Connected AI apps. See Pace for AI assistants for what's possible before you connect.
What you'll need
- A Pace workspace on the One or Enterprise plan.
- An account with Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. ChatGPT requires a paid plan for this to work (more on that below).
- About five minutes.
Find your endpoint URL
Every walkthrough below starts the same way. Go to Settings → Connected AI apps in Pace and copy your endpoint URL. You'll paste this into whichever assistant you're setting up.
Connect Claude
- Go to claude.ai and open Settings → Connectors.
- Select Add custom connector.
- Paste your Pace endpoint URL.
- Sign in to Pace when prompted, then select Approve.
The same endpoint works in Claude Desktop and Claude Code, so you can add it there the same way.
Connect ChatGPT
Note: Turn on Developer Mode before you do anything else. Without it, ChatGPT can't use Pace's tools at all.
- In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer Mode. This needs a paid ChatGPT plan.
- Add a new connector and paste your Pace endpoint URL.
- Sign in to Pace when prompted, then approve the connection.
Developer Mode is the step people skip, and it's the single biggest reason a ChatGPT connection doesn't work. If your assistant can't seem to find Pace, this is the first thing to check.
Connect Gemini
Gemini CLI: open your MCP servers configuration and add a Pace entry with your endpoint URL as the httpUrl. Sign-in finishes in your browser, so approve the connection there when it opens.
Gemini app: add the same endpoint wherever custom connectors are available.
What you can ask
Once you're connected, ask things like:
- "How's pacing looking this month?"
- "Which campaigns overspent last week?"
- "What changed on [account] recently?"
How you'll know it worked
Ask your assistant to list your Pace accounts. You should see them by name in its reply.
Back in Pace, check Settings → Connected AI apps. The connection appears there, and its "last used" time updates each time you ask your assistant something.
Connecting a different workspace
The connection is tied to whichever workspace you were signed into when you approved it. If you work across multiple workspaces, the connector's name in your AI app shows you which one it points to.
If it stops working
Disconnect the app in your AI tool and reconnect it. This clears up the two most common causes: an expired sign-in and a recent plan change.
A Paused label next to a connection in Settings → Connected AI apps means the workspace's plan no longer includes API access. Reconnecting won't fix that. Upgrade the workspace's plan first, then reconnect.
Manage or remove access
Disconnect any assistant at any time from Settings → Connected AI apps. It loses access within a few minutes, and you can reconnect it later without losing any setup.
A note on security
Your assistant only ever reads the numbers you'd already see in Pace yourself. There's no path from a chat message to a budget change, a paused campaign, or your ad platform sign-in details. Disconnecting an assistant here doesn't touch your ad platform connections; those stay exactly as they are.
