Reconnect or remove an ad account

Check your Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Microsoft Ads connection status, reconnect when one breaks, and remove access safely.

Keep your platform connections healthy from the Linked Accounts page: check each connection's status, re-authenticate when one breaks, and remove access when you need to. This works the same way across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Microsoft Ads.

Permissions required: The workspace owner re-authenticates and disconnects connections. Admins can link and unlink individual accounts. With a member (read-only) role, you'll see an Access Restricted message and can't reach these controls.

Note: This article covers your ad-platform connections. To remove a teammate from the workspace or change their role, see inviting team members and roles.

Check connection status

  1. Open Linked Accounts in Pace.
  2. Select a platform in the tab bar at the top.
  3. Read the badge on the connection card:
    • Connected (green) — everything's working.
    • Needs attention (yellow) — action is required.
    • Not connected (grey) — no connection yet.

The connected card also shows who connected it, plus a Since pill giving the date the connection was set up. A Token refreshes pill shows when Pace next renews its own access to the platform. You never reconnect on a schedule, so your data keeps flowing.

Re-authenticate a connection

A Needs attention badge means the platform reported the connection is no longer valid, or it's close to expiring. Pace also flags this with an in-app notification and an email that names the platform.

  1. Open Linked Accounts and select the affected platform.
  2. On the connection card, select Re-authenticate now on the yellow banner. Or open the menu and choose Re-authenticate.
  3. Complete the platform's sign-in and consent screen, the same one you used to connect the first time.
  4. Confirm the badge returns to Connected. Pacing resumes for your linked accounts, and nothing you'd already linked changes.

Unlink an account or disconnect a platform

These are two different actions. Choose based on how much you want to remove. Within a platform, your accounts sit on two tabs, Linked and Unlinked.

Unlink one account. On the Linked tab, tick the accounts and select Unlink. Pace stops tracking and pacing just those accounts; the platform connection stays intact, and no campaigns are paused or changed. Select Unlink accounts to confirm. Re-link any time from the Unlinked tab.

Disconnect a whole platform. Open the card's menu and choose Disconnect, then confirm in the dialog. Its title names the platform you're removing, for example Disconnect Google Ads?. This removes Pace's connection for that platform and stops syncing and pacing all of its accounts.

Note: Disconnecting doesn't touch anything on the ad platform — no campaigns are paused or changed. Your linked accounts and history reappear automatically when you reconnect.

Disconnecting removes Pace's stored access, but it doesn't remove Pace on the ad platform's side. To fully revoke access, also remove Pace from that platform's own connected-apps or integrations panel.

Meta Ads works a little differently. You manage it from a dedicated Meta connection card. That card holds two separate connections: a personal Facebook login and a Business Portfolio (Meta's container for your ad accounts). You connect, re-authenticate, or disconnect each one on its own.

If a connection still isn't working

Pace signs in through each platform's own secure login, so it never stores your password and renews its access automatically. A healthy connection needs nothing from you. If a badge reads Connected but data still isn't updating, see why isn't my ad account syncing.
