Tell Claude or Dot what you want changed, in plain English, and it updates budgets and settings across many accounts and campaign groups in one go. "Set every Meta account's December budget to $5,000" is one request instead of twenty settings windows. You see every change before anything is saved.
It makes the same changes as Bulk Management, with the same checks, minus the spreadsheet.
Before you start
- The workspace owner has turned on Let connected AI apps make changes at Settings → Connected AI apps. The same switch covers Claude and Dot.
- To use Claude, you've connected Pace to Claude and ticked write access on the consent screen.
Permissions required: Once the owner has switched on AI changes, anyone in the workspace can make bulk changes in Dot or Claude. Claude also needs write access on your connection, and any member can tick it on the consent screen. Until AI changes are on, everyone can still ask questions.
What you can change
On accounts and campaign groups:
- The default monthly budget, and month budgets for this month and the next five
- Name and colour
- Primary and secondary goal. The primary goal can also take a target, or a conversion action as the goal (Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads accounts, and Google Ads and Meta Ads groups)
- Additional context for Pace AI
- Active schedule
- Overspend monitor and trickle amount
- Custom flights
- Exclude from automation
On accounts only:
- Account manager, Slack channel and email recipients for alerts
- Per-campaign goals and targets
- Managed campaigns
- Weekly reports and Sparks
- Daily Floor pacing (Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads)
- Per-campaign daily limits (Google Ads only)
- Budget rollover
- Meta Ads ad set budgets and TikTok Ads ad group budgets
You can also create campaign groups and move campaigns between groups. A campaign belongs to one group at a time, so a move has to take it out of its old group in the same request.
It works on Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads and X Ads accounts.
Make a bulk change in Dot
- Open Dot and describe the change.
- Dot shows a Bulk edit card grouped by account, with each change as before and after. Anything Dot can't change is listed with the reason.
- If the card lists large changes, read them, then tick the box confirming you've checked the large changes.
- Click Apply to save, or Cancel to drop it.
Apply stays greyed out until you tick the box. If you type a new message instead of clicking, the card is cancelled and nothing changes. Ask Dot again if you still want it.
Make a bulk change in Claude
- Ask Claude for the change.
- Claude previews it and shows you the list of changes, plus anything that isn't allowed.
- Tell Claude to go ahead. If the list includes large changes, Claude needs your OK on those too.
A preview lasts 15 minutes and can be applied once. If anything changed in Pace since the preview, nothing is saved and Claude previews again, so you always approve exactly what gets applied.
Large changes and warnings
A budget counts as a large change when it's 5 times the current budget or more, or 10,000 or more from nothing.
Changes to how Pace spends money also count as large, and the preview gives each one a warning line:
- Switching to or from Daily Floor pacing, or changing its daily amounts
- Per-campaign daily limits
- Custom flights
- Turning budget rollover on or off
- Letting Pace manage Meta Ads ad set or TikTok Ads ad group budgets
- Excluding from automation, or including again
- Adding campaigns to an account's managed campaigns
Switching an account to Daily Floor can resume campaigns Pace paused. The preview names them and says Pace will try to resume them.
How a few changes behave
When you create groups, Pace raises the account's month budget to the group total if it's lower. It never lowers it. To lower the account budget, ask for that change directly.
Changing a goal keeps the existing target only when it's measured the same way. CPA and conversion action goals use an amount, and ROAS uses a multiple, so a $40 CPA target is never read as 40x ROAS.
Weekly report and Sparks edits change only the settings you ask about. Everything else on them stays as it was.
Limits
- Up to 500 accounts and groups per request.
- Months run from this month to five months ahead. Past months can't be changed.
- Your plan's managed-spend limit applies. Increases that would take a month over it aren't applied.
- In Claude, the whole request counts as one change toward the limit of 10 changes per connection every 5 minutes.
What it can't do
- Unlink accounts
- Delete campaign groups
- Mute every alert on an account
- Change report branding
- Work on Reddit Ads or Amazon Ads accounts
- Change campaign daily budgets or statuses. Claude has separate tools for those.
Where your changes show up
Every account that changes gets an entry in its Changes tab, marked as Pace AI with Claude or Dot.
Budgets are Pace's targets. Your ad platforms follow them on the next pacing run. The one exception is switching an account to Daily Floor, which can resume paused campaigns straight away.
