First 15 minutes with Pace

Go from sign-up to your first pacing signal in about 15 minutes: connect an ad account, set a monthly budget, and let Pace start keeping spend on track.

3 min readUpdated 15 July 2026

In the next 15 minutes, you'll create your Pace account, connect an ad account, set a monthly budget, and see your first pacing signal.

Time: about 15 minutes end to end — a few minutes to sign up and connect an account, 2 for checkout, and a few more to set your budget and see the first signal.

You'll need:

  • A Google account to sign in with. Continue with Google is the only sign-in method today; Microsoft sign-in is coming soon.
  • Your sign-in for at least one Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or Microsoft Ads account.
  • A payment card. Nothing is charged for 14 days.

Permissions required: Only a workspace owner or admin can connect ad accounts. Signing up makes you the owner, so you're set. If someone invited you into their workspace as a member, ask them to connect accounts for you.

1. Sign up with Google

Go to the sign-up page and select Continue with Google. You become the workspace owner and land in a short guided setup: Why Pace → Connect → Start trial → Welcome → Dashboard.

2. Connect your first account

On the Connect your ad accounts step, select Connect accounts. Pace opens the Linked Accounts page in a new tab, and the setup page updates live as you go. Authorise a platform (Google Ads and Meta Ads are the quickest to start with), then link at least one account inside it. The Continue button lights up once one account is linked.

Note: Authorising a platform isn't the same as linking an account inside it. Pace only paces the accounts you link, so make sure at least one shows a green Connected badge before you continue. For the platform-by-platform walkthrough, see how to connect your first account.

3. Choose a plan and add your card

On Choose your plan, keep the pre-selected Pro or pick another, then select Continue to secure checkout to add your card on Stripe. Nothing is charged for 14 days, and you can cancel from Settings → Billing before then.

4. Finish setup

Watch the short welcome video if you like, then select Continue to your dashboard. On the next screen, select Continue to Pace to land on the home dashboard.

5. Set a monthly budget

You set budgets on the dashboard, not during setup. Open an account's Settings, choose the Budget tab, keep Monthly Budget mode, and enter your monthly figure. Pace adjusts your campaign budgets daily so the month lands on target.

What you'll see when it works

Back on the home dashboard, the pacing summary's Pace card shows how many of your accounts are on pace. In the accounts table, each account gets a colour-coded Pace reading — on-track, over, or under — next to a Spend bar comparing month-to-date spend against its budget. That Pace reading is your first pacing signal.

Your first automated budget change lands on the next scheduled pacing run — usually within a day of setting your budget.

Next

Read budgets and pacing to see how Pace keeps your spend on track for the rest of the month.
