In the next few minutes, you'll connect an ad platform to Pace and choose which accounts it manages. You approve the access on the platform's own sign-in screen, and Pace only asks to read your campaigns and to adjust or pause them to keep your spend on track.
Time: about five minutes. You'll need: owner or admin access to your Pace workspace, and your sign-in for one of Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, Reddit Ads, or Amazon Ads.
Permissions required: Only a workspace owner or admin can connect accounts. With a member (read-only) role you'll see an Access Restricted message instead, so ask your workspace owner to connect the account for you.
What Pace can and can't do
The access you grant lets Pace read your campaigns and performance data, then adjust budgets or pause campaigns as part of pacing. Pacing can't do its job without permission to change your budgets.
You never type your ad-platform password into Pace. Instead, Pace holds a secure access key the platform hands over after you approve. That key stays on Pace's server, so it never reaches your browser, a web address, or Pace's activity records. Pace makes every request to the platform on your behalf.
Connect a platform
- Open Linked Accounts in Pace.
- In the tab bar at the top, select the platform you want: Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, Reddit Ads, or Amazon Ads.
- On the connection card, select the connect button for your platform (for example, Connect Google Ads), then follow the platform's own sign-in and consent screen. Amazon Ads asks where your account is registered first (Americas, Europe, or Asia-Pacific), and the region you choose starts the connection. Meta Ads offers two ways to connect and opens its sign-in in a popup, so see how to connect Meta Ads to pick the right one. Every other platform sends you out and back.
- Back on the platform's card you'll see two tabs, Linked and Unlinked. Open Unlinked, tick the accounts you want Pace to manage, and select Link.
Connecting a platform and linking accounts are two separate steps. Signing in imports no accounts on its own, so nothing is managed until you link it.
Google Ads goes there and back in one step: approve on Google's screen and you land straight back on Linked Accounts, accounts ready to link. Google's consent screen lets you untick the Google Ads permission, and if that happens Pace tells you on the page, so you know what to approve on the next try.
Connecting during setup
A brand-new workspace does this same step inside the setup wizard. Google Ads and Meta Ads carry a Most picked badge there, which answers "which one should I start with?" if you run several. Link one account — you can add the rest later.
Picked the wrong account to start with? Select Set up a different account instead on the setup screen to go back to the account picker. Your trial carries over, and you continue from there with the new account.
What you'll see when it works
The platform's card shows a green Connected badge, along with who connected it and the date. Below that, a note reads "Secured with OAuth 2.0. Your credentials are encrypted and tokens rotate automatically". That's the platform's standard password-free sign-in, and Pace renews it for you. The accounts you chose move to the Linked tab.
