Most failed connections trace back to one of four fixable causes. Match the error you're looking at to a heading below, apply the fix, and you'll be back on track in a minute or two.
You see "Access Restricted" when you open Linked Accounts
You have a member (read-only) role, and only a workspace owner or admin can connect accounts. Ask an owner or admin to connect the account for you. LinkedIn Ads behaves slightly differently: a member can start the flow and finish LinkedIn's consent screen, but Pace still stops the connection at the end. Same fix: an owner or admin sets it up.
Sign-in worked but the accounts you expected aren't listed
Signing in imports only the accounts your platform profile can reach, so a missing account means you used the wrong profile or one without the right role. Reconnect with a profile that has access, then open the Unlinked tab — where newly connected accounts land — and check whether the account now appears. By platform:
- Google Ads — sign in with write access (Standard or Admin); read-only accounts can't be paced.
- Meta Ads (formerly Facebook Ads) — sign in with a Facebook user or Business Portfolio that has access to the account.
- Microsoft Ads — sign in with the correct Microsoft account at the picker.
- TikTok Ads — sign in with a direct admin or operator role; Business Center ownership alone won't surface advertisers.
- LinkedIn Ads — sign in with an editing role such as Account Manager, not a viewer-only one.
The connection says Connected but nothing is being paced
Connecting a platform and linking accounts are two separate steps, so a green Connected badge doesn't manage anything on its own. Your accounts wait on the Unlinked tab until you link them. Open Unlinked, tick the accounts you want, and select Link. See connect your first ad account for the full two-step flow.
The Meta "Connect with Facebook" popup won't open
Meta's personal Facebook option opens a popup, and a browser popup blocker stops the sign-in from completing. You'll either see nothing happen or a Re-authentication Cancelled notice. If the button reads Initialising... and looks greyed out, wait a moment for it to activate. Otherwise allow popups for Pace, or use Connect via Business Portfolio, a full-page redirect with no popup.
Still stuck?
If the matching fix doesn't clear it, email [email protected] with the platform and the exact message on your screen. If a badge already reads Connected but your data isn't updating, that's a sync issue rather than a connection error. See why isn't my ad account syncing.
