Below are quick answers to the billing questions Pace customers ask most: when you're charged, how to cancel or change plans, where invoices live, and what happens to your accounts if you leave.
When does Pace charge my card?
Pace charges your card on day 14, the last day of your free trial, for the plan you chose, then renews on your normal cycle, monthly or yearly. Pace charges nothing during the 14-day trial itself. You can see the exact date and amount anytime in the trial card at the top of the Billing tab. Yearly plans give you two months free: you pay for ten months and get twelve months of access. For the full trial breakdown, read how your 14-day free trial works.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel yourself from Settings, then the Billing tab — there's no support ticket to file. On a trial the button reads Cancel Trial; on a paid plan it reads Cancel Subscription. Pick a reason from the dropdown, add any comments, and confirm.
Cancelling a trial means your card is never charged and you keep full access until the trial's last day. Cancelling a paid plan ends it at the end of the current paid period, not immediately, so access continues until your renewal date. If you change your mind while a cancellation is scheduled, select Re-enable Plan to keep your subscription running.
How do I change my plan?
Change plans anytime from Settings, then Billing. Click Select a Plan (or Choose a Plan on the trial banner) to open the Change Subscription Plan dialog, toggle Monthly or Yearly, and pick your plan. On an active paid subscription the change takes effect immediately, and your bill is adjusted for the days left in your current billing period, so you're not charged a full second time. During a trial, changing plans doesn't charge you: the new plan's price is what you'll pay on day 14. To compare what each plan includes, see subscription tiers and plan limits.
Where do I find my invoices?
Your invoices live on the Billing tab in an Invoices card, a table showing the date, product, amount, and status, with a Download button for the PDF of each one. Pace pulls your twelve most recent invoices from Stripe, the payment processor it uses, so you don't need to open anything external to get them. Updating your card is separate: the Update payment method button opens Stripe's secure customer portal, which handles your payment details, not your invoices.
What happens if I exceed my plan's managed spend limit?
If you go over your plan's managed spend limit, Pace blocks budget increases, but nothing is paused and no campaign stops running. Managed spend is the total of the monthly budgets you've configured across your connected accounts, not the money spent on the platforms. Each plan sets a cap: Basic covers $25K, Pro $100K, One $500K, and Enterprise is unlimited.
You can still decrease budgets, and a banner points you to your options. To lift the block, upgrade your plan or trim configured budgets until you're back under the cap. See what each plan's cap is.
What happens to my accounts and data if I cancel?
Cancelling stops your charge and switches off Pace's automated budget adjustments — the pacing it runs on your campaigns. It doesn't touch your ad accounts or campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or Microsoft Ads. Your workspace, connected accounts, and performance history all stay in place. If you come back later and start a subscription, everything is exactly where you left it. The 14-day trial article covers the same guarantees for trial cancellations.
Who can manage billing?
Only the workspace owner can manage billing. The Billing tab appears solely for owners, so if you were invited into a workspace as a member or admin, you won't see it at all. Ask the workspace owner to make any billing changes for you. Keeping billing owner-only means payment control sits with one person on your team.
Does Pace store my card?
No. Pace never sees or stores your card number. Stripe collects and holds your payment details on its own systems, and Pace only ever receives a Stripe customer ID and your subscription status, nothing more. Your card data never touches Pace's servers. For the full picture of what Pace stores and shares, read how Pace handles your data.
