A feature you expected is missing for one of four reasons: your plan doesn't include it, your role doesn't allow it, the ad platform doesn't support it, or it's switched on per workspace. Here's how to tell which one you're looking at.
What does the Pro or One badge on a tab mean?
It means the tab exists but your plan doesn't include it yet, and the badge names the lowest plan that does. Pace keeps plan-gated tabs visible rather than hiding them, so Improvements, Forecast, Sparks, Records, Reports and Notes all stay in the account sidebar with a small Pro or One badge until you upgrade. Which features need a paid plan?
Basic covers automated pacing, overspend protection, inline editing, the change audit trail, monthly budget scheduling, email notifications, and team access. Pro adds most of the tools teams upgrade for: AI Sparks, Search Lens, Creative Lens, portfolios, campaign groups, client reports, the notebook and meeting agenda, Budget Scenario Forecast, Account Health Audit, custom flighting, budget rollover, campaign KPI targets, ad set and ad group pacing, Slack, and the smarter alerts. One adds Dot, custom AI guardrails, AI assistant connections, and shareable deep links. Enterprise adds SSO, a custom SLA, dedicated infrastructure, and multi-team support.
Why can't I open Linked Accounts, billing, or the team list?
Your role decides this, not your plan. Members get the dashboard, accounts, analytics, and reports, and see an Access Restricted message on Linked Accounts instead of the connection controls. Admins connect and manage ad accounts like an owner but can't touch billing or the team. Only an owner invites teammates, changes roles, and handles billing and plan changes. Why does a feature show on one account but not another?
The platform behind that account can't support it, so Pace hides the tab rather than badging it. Improvements doesn't appear on Reddit Ads or Amazon Ads accounts, Records doesn't appear on TikTok Ads or Amazon Ads, and Forecast doesn't appear on Amazon Ads. Inside Improvements, Search Lens runs on Google Ads and Microsoft Ads only, and Creative Lens on Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads. Campaign editing is Google Ads and Meta Ads today; LinkedIn Ads and Microsoft Ads editing is on the roadmap.
I'm on Pro, so why is there no Audits sub-tab?
Account Health Audit needs the Pro plan and a switch flipped for your workspace while it rolls out. If you're on Pro or above and Audits isn't the first item under Improvements, email [email protected] and ask for audits to be turned on for your workspace. Once it's on, open any account, go to Improvements, then Audits, and choose Run audit. More detail is in the Account Health Audit guide.
Where did the flighting option go?
Custom flighting and Daily Floor Pacing can't both run on the same account or group, so Pace hides the flight option while Floor Pacing is on. Turn Floor Pacing off for that account or group and the flighting controls come back. Both are Pro features, so check your plan first if neither one is there. A feature I used during my trial has gone. Why?
Your 14-day trial gives you full access to every feature, and on day 14 your workspace settles onto the plan you chose. Anything above that plan reverts to a Pro or One badge. Open Settings, then Billing, to see the plan you're on and switch to a higher one at any time. Billing questions are answered in the billing FAQ.
