Open the Changes tab first. A run that decided nothing needed moving still logs a row reading "Pace ran but no changes were recommended," so that row is your proof the run happened. If there's no row at all, the run never started, and the cause is almost always a setting on the account.
Root causes
- The account isn't set up for pacing yet. Pace needs a monthly budget above zero and at least one included campaign. Without both, it won't start a run.
- The account is excluded, or pacing is off for the workspace. Either the account is opted out of automated actions, or the workspace-level switch is off. Pacing also stops for a workspace whose subscription has lapsed.
- Overspend protection is holding the account. A paused account or group isn't re-paced until spend drops back under the cap, and Pace resumes it automatically.
- There's nothing active to adjust. If every included campaign is paused on the ad platform, Pace has no live budget to change. That spend still counts toward your monthly budget.
- The month's budget is zero. A campaign group with no budget for the current month isn't paced, and neither is an account you've deliberately zeroed.
Check each one
-
Open the Changes tab and filter to the account and the date. A "no changes were recommended" row means the run ran and held steady.
-
Open Account Settings, then the Budget tab, and confirm the monthly budget for the current month is above zero.
-
In the same dialog, look at Campaign Automation. The Exclude entire account from automated actions box must be unticked, with at least one campaign ticked below it.
-
Open Settings, then Pacing Schedule. Enable Pacing must be on, with at least one run time selected. Basic gets one scheduled run a day, Pro two, One and Enterprise three.
-
Click Pace on the account to run on demand. If anything is blocking the run, the message tells you which one.
Note: An Active Schedule never stops a run. Days off change how Pace divides your monthly budget, and they mute alerts, but a run still happens. On-demand runs are capped per account per day by your plan, so Pace declines once you've used the day's allowance. See running pacing on demand.
Still no movement
Email [email protected] with the account name, the date and time you expected a run, and a screenshot of the Changes tab filtered to that account and day. Naming the exact window lets support trace the run.
